- Description: Lots of officers between mount airy and dobson on 601. I personally passed 6 within a 4 mile stretch around 2:30 in the afternoon on a weekday. They are always around, and like to sit on sides of the road. Watch out! you can pass the first dobson exit

I agree, I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was a teenager. I am a safe driver but got a speeding ticket and had my cruise control set at 50.•

I was ticketed there once on a weekday by a NC Highway Patrol Trooper who was hiding by tailgaiting a two-ton truck! I had just passed a slow moving vehicle and noticing the previously mentioned approaching truck, speeded up to safely complete the pass. Silly me.
