Description: Watch out Northbound 55 - They sit up on the Hwy 141 exit getting onto Hwy 55 North. Sometimes it's just one, sometimes a whole line, Hwy 141 is the last exit leaving Jefferson County heading into St.Louis County. That exit is their scheduled bread and butter exit.

  Since the rebuilding of the Church Street overpass the police now sit on the overpass and radar south bound cars. Catch cars sit on the other side of the hill top to pull over speeding driver. I have seen them do this a various times of the day.

  They mostly sit on Church Rd. bridge just between Richardson and 141 and yes they use a laser I see them all the time

  Yes! They claimed I was going 80 in a 65. Funny because I wasn't even in the fast lane and other traffic was flying by me. I admit to maybe going 70 because I travel down 55 further south where it actually changes to 70...so I admit to possibly 70. I think they clocked someone else - but really what can you do?? I got a lawyer but it still cost me over $300. So I don't stop in Arnold anymore. I refuse to give any more of my hard earned money to that city.

  All statements are true and I would also like to add that they are now sitting on the Meramec Bottom entrance ramp to I-55 southbound, usually 2 or more chase cars, and they are clocking you in St. Louis County and pulling you over in Arnold. Unfair? I think so. Slow down and obey the speed limit laws and do not speed through the City of Arnold, unless you want to pay the fine! I had lived there almost 35 years and they are strict with speed enforcement.

  Quite often the highway patrol will use an airplane to time the drivers over the marked areas on the highway

  This is a fact. They also like to sit on Church Road and clock down on cars headed 55 south. Over the Hill they have 2-8 cars waiting for you.

  Between Richardson Rd and Hiway 141. Sunday mornings when traffic is light there is a 65% chance of seeing an Arnold police officer on I-55 northbound and about 35% southbound. Normally it is where speed limit changes from 70 to 60.

  This is for real. I have counted eight black and white chasers and 1 or 2 shooters on the 141 overpass.

  Also watch on Saturday\Sunday late morning because the police will line up on the Church Rd overpass & get people going north & south bound on Hwy 55.
