- Description: A dismounted motorcop sits off to the left side of the street with a laser. He lases vehicles coming from Blanding, walks out into the street, pulls you and all around you over. As he writes you citation, he's lasing others and doing the same. New to the area, he stated that normally officers give 5-8 MPH leway but it's up to their discretion and the "sqweaky wheel gets the oil" whigh I took to mean the local residents had complained about the speeding. He was totally professional, welcomed me to Jax, gave me a warning, and a $7.50 ticket for not being able to find my registration I had misplaced after using it to obtain a DOD decal for Naval Air Station Jax. All-in-all, it was a good experience and I learned they are out there enforcing.
