Inquired of the Belle Chief of Police in regards to the statement of not being authorized to use radar on US 60. He advised they are authorized, but write very few tickets. Belle is not a speed trap. State and county police enforce the 55 mph speed limit more the the Belle police.

Sorry but the Belle Police Department does have legal authority to write tickets on Route 60, the Mayor discourages it but in cases of gross stupidity of drivers there can be tickets.

Although they can't run radar as prima face evidence they can use it as secondary if they have a camera working prperly or follow you first.•
