- Description: Heading Eastbound on Lincoln Way approaching Grand Avenue will be a LASER SPEEDTRAP. Ames officers will have 6 or 7 patrol cars parked along South Oak Avenue ready to deploy 1 unit for each speeding vehicle. 1 Officer 1 STAND at the corner of Lincoln Way and South Oak Ave HIDING behind a TREE with a LASER gun pointed westbound. He will then radio to the awaiting officers your vehicle's description, then you're done, there's nowhere to turn or anything.
