Tell everyone you know in this area that this is a real TRAP!! The highway goes from 65 to 55 to 45 in a short distance and this town like so many others is trying to overcome a shortfall in their budget with writing speeding tickets. Anonymous, get a life. My wife has an impeccable driving record and has been driving for over 34 years. She has just been "trapped" on this stretch of hwy 52 and it makes me sick. How about getting the REAL crime off the streets and leave the tax paying good citizens alone.

The speed limit here is not 45 it's 55 and there's no reason for it not to be 65. Secondly, injuries and fatalities aren't due to speeding, they are due to wrecks. Thirdly, I've got no problem with the police that patrol the area, they're just doing their job enforcing the law. I've got a problem with government creating laws that limit our freedoms. Victimless crimes only exist to generate revenue.

Try looking on NC DOT website and see how many injuries and fatalities occur due to speed. Also remember that the Officers are doing their jobs.

I have seen this several times on my trips that I had to make back and forth to Winston(Forsyth Hospital). I have also witnessed them being able to catch speeders while waiting between the bushes. Seems to work pretty good for them. I have seen them at all hours of the day. Morning , Noon or Nite...so you never know when they will be there.

We see the police in the center median all the time, but mostly at dusk.
