Latitude: 36.0264
Longitude: -80.3983
Description: Heading West on I-40 between the 421 split and the Clemmons exit (184) cops sit in the median, usually in pairs. They will catch you heading east or west. I-40 is 3 lanes at this point and I believe it's 65 mph although with little traffic you could easily go 80+

I live in Clemmons and I have noticed that when the highway camera is off for this stretch of highway they(bears) are active. Forsyth County Sheriff's department poach here as well but let the State Troopers do the hard work-accidents.

I agree with thia speed trap. They stop you if your going 70+ and they should. I've seen some horrific wrecks on this sestion of road. 65-70 is fast enough.

The enforcement you see here is called "interdiction". These officers are profiling cars/occupants looking for contraband, i.e drugs, etc.

They are usually State Troopers that sit there, and they will catch you if you speed.
