I live near here, and have never been stopped or cited. I also don't go above 5+ on the limit. Yes, they will stop you for speeding. But only if you're speeding. There is no "pretend" violations like Cuba, NM or Jemez Springs. If they catch you, I'll lay bets that you were doing exactly what they say you were doing. They don't "fudge" the start/stop points on the location of the limit, either. Reasonable law enforcement. Nothing more.

There is a heavy police presence there, tickets must be a source of income for an income strapped municipality. I was nailed going down the main street at 3:40am, no other cars were in sight, no pedestrians, nothing on the road. Very little tolerance for anything over the speed limit. Definitely a speed trap where the police are used as a revenue source.

Safest, lowest crime area in the state, why??? due to strong, consistent police presence, our citizens love us here.

My girlfriend lives in Bosque Farms. Having familiarity with 47 in that area I can only imagine how quickly anyone would want to drive and remain safe. That is a heavily-traveled road with turn lanes here & there, but it is not the sort of area one would want to speed in. Between the firehouse, school, post office, and all sorts of businesses in between, I only have to wonder about the others who have complained. Like, driving the 35-45 MPH speed limit thru all 3-4 miles of 47 in BF is that much of an inconvenience??? Most PDs tolerate 5 mph over, so what's your real gripe? That there is actually a posted limit or that no one consulted you in determining what that limit should be? I like speed, too, but that winding, extremely busy commercial district ain't the place to do it. I-25 is just a bit west. Go there and run 80+ like everyone else does. At least that's a 75 zone.

It's always been that way, I've lived here for 25yrs now and I avoid Bosque Farms at all costs!

Sit right as you enter town heading north on NM-47, right as you go through the "S" turn.
