- Description: When one is traveling on 185 over Simsbury Mountain towards Bloomfield (Hartford road, turns into Simsbury Road when you enter Bloomfield about half-way over the mountain) be mindful of a speed trap at the bottom of the mountain in Bloomfield.
The trap is on Schuyler Road, which is a neighborhood, and the officer will get your speed then walk into the road to flag you down into the neighborhood. A fruit stand is right across the street, and since this part of the road is at the bottom of a long downhill, it's easy to get a ticket.
